Desktop Support Analyst

Description We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this role involves providing hands-on technical support for hardware and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows operating systems and a strong commitment to ensuring a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver onsite support for the setup and configuration of new Windows PC hardware to replace existing systems.

- Decommission outdated PC hardware in a secure and efficient manner.

- Perform operating system installations and ensure compatibility with Windows 10 and 11.

- Join computers to the appropriate domain and configure network settings.

- Install and configure software applications as required.

- Transfer user profile settings and data to new devices.

- Map network drives and ensure proper access to shared resources.

- Set up and configure printers and other peripherals on user systems.

- Customize user preferences to align with individual requirements.

- Securely erase data from hard drives to maintain confidentiality. Requirements - Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

- Hands-on experience with PC hardware installation and configuration.

- Strong understanding of domain environments and network drive mapping.

- Familiarity with user profile migration and data transfer processes.

- Knowledge of printer installation and peripheral device setup.

- Ability to securely wipe hard drives following established protocols.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
