Rate: $68/hour W2

Contract: 2-3 months

We are seeking top technical talent to join and build our client’s Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This role will be pivotal in building the SRE team and providing operational and product support for the Digital Transformation initiative, including Cloud solutions, automation, and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for emerging technologies and will collaborate closely with multiple product teams, spending 20–50% of their time assisting them.

Responsibilities:

• Lead infrastructure and automation efforts for Digital Transformation projects.
• Define infrastructure and system requirements for SRE using best practices.
• Build automation using configuration management tools to scale projects seamlessly.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions through automation.
• Collaborate with product teams on SRE-related initiatives.
• Own reporting and accountability for all eCommerce performance metrics.
• Build and enhance scalable application infrastructure to deliver world-class eCommerce capabilities.
• Define and deliver global application roadmaps and technology platforms.
• Manage development and deployment of release management features for online systems.
• Maintain centralized logging for multiple applications using Splunk.
• Set up and maintain AWS EKS clusters and related infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years coding experience in Python or Ruby (Clojure experience is a plus).
• 2+ years experience/exposure to AWS technologies.
• 3+ years experience in business process and/or technology implementation.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
• Proven experience scaling cloud-based applications with a focus on automation.
• 2+ years in a lead role delivering web capabilities, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, release automation, and continuous delivery practices.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Rigor, Quantum.
• Experience with Hashi Corp stack (Nomad, Vault, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of AWS-based infrastructure and container orchestration (EKS).

• Python or Ruby coding: 3+ years.
• AWS technology: 2+ years.
• Business process/technology implementation: 3+ years.
• IT systems: 4+ years.
• Familiarity with Clojure and modern Dev Ops tool chains.
