Position: Supervisory Supplier Operations Division Chief with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* Serves as the Chief of the Supplier Operations Division within a Supplier Operations Directorate.
* Provides a range of acquisition and logistics support.
* Ensures that the DoD, DLA, DLA Troop Support, as well as inter-directorate divisions' policies, procedures, plans, and programs are accurately implemented.
* Administers responsibilities for pre and post award contracting for all items assigned to the division.
* Manages Small Business Economic Utilization, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Prime Vendor, Tailored Logistics Support, as well as other programs as warranted.
* Serves as a Contracting Officer for amounts above the warrant limitations of other staff. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

Required Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Supplier Operations Division Chief, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Basic Contracting Requirement:

A.) A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR

B.) a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000, are excluded from the requirements of "A)" above. AND

B. CAP Requirement:
Must possess 4 years of acquisition experience. Incumbent must remain in position for a minimum of three years and must sign a written tenure agreement (DD Form 2888). AND

C. Specialized

Experience:

One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. In addition to meeting the Basic Contracting and CAP Requirements above, to qualify for the GS-14 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
* Managing subordinates and projects while fostering excellent customer service
* Providing support for acquisition and logistics activities
* Developing and implementing process improvements for assigned programs Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
