The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces.

Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.

#MC Responsibilities In this role, you will serve in a program analyst capacity as a trusted agent directly supporting client program managers, acting to support all aspects of planning, management, and execution of a growing defense R&D and manufacturing program. In this role, you should expect to act independently and with high initiative, engaging with client leadership and stakeholders to identify needs and take on program challenges.

Responsibilities will include working group coordination, managing and cataloging inventory, financial and schedule management, program strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and participation in key management activities in support of client leadership decision making. This position is located in Philadelphia, PA with the potential for light telework. In this role, you will also apply a working understanding of inventory analytics and management fields to understand complex component development and manufacturing programs, distill relevant information, and recommend leadership courses of action based on both technical and programmatic requirements and factors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Ability to work onsite, up to full time, depending upon client needs
* Bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, STEM such as Industrial Engineering or Data Science, or equivalent work experience
* Ability to build and maintain an inventory and material management system used for cataloging, issuing, and controlling inventory and material
* 5+ years experience supporting defense manufacturing, Navy shipbuilding, inventory and material management, defense acquisition programs, or other relevant initiatives
* Proven ability to coordinate, communicate, and act across multiple government and industry stakeholders, with the ability to simplify complex problems, make actionable recommendations, and independently tackle analytic and managerial challenges
* Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required:
* Certifications like Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Lean Six Sigma
* Relevant Master's Degree in a STEM or business field
* Experience with material management in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP)
* Experience with Defense Acquisition System DoD 5000 series and Navy or DoD program planning
* Experience with and knowledgeable of Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes
* Proficient utilizing business analysis tools like Power

BI, ERP, Excel, or others to analyze data and eloquently communicate to decision makers
