Join our client as a Construction Estimator (Civil Construction) in Philadelphia, PA, preparing cost estimates and bids for excavation, earthwork, and site development projects. You will review plans, collaborate with project managers and engineers, and deliver accurate, competitive estimates.

Experience with Agtek, Heavy Bid, or similar software is preferred as you support preconstruction, budgeting, and business development in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities as the Construction Estimator (Civil Construction):
  • Estimating & Takeoffs: Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and competitive bids for civil and earthwork projects.
  • Scope Review: Analyze drawings, specifications, and contracts to define project scope, pricing, and potential risks.
  • Collaboration: Work with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimates reflect constructability and real-world conditions.
  • Software Utilization: Use Agtek, Heavy Bid, or similar tools to develop detailed cost breakdowns and enhance accuracy.
  • Preconstruction Support: Assist with budgets, proposals, and bid packages to support preconstruction and business development efforts.
Qualifications for the Construction Estimator (Civil Construction):
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in estimating for sitework, excavation, or heavy civil construction required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with preferred experience using Agtek, Heavy Bid, or similar earthwork estimating software.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of site development, excavation, utility installation, and heavy civil construction practices.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and effective communication with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
