Retail Sales, Customer Service Rep
$10.75 to $13.00 per hour
We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.38 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets and engages customers, processes sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with inquiries and problem resolution across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and displays.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle all cash and negotiable items per established policies.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
- Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
- Complete assigned training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or in exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willing to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission PlanThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive additional details during the interview process.
Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
Maximum base payrate is derived from the applicant’s previous experience and skill sets applicable to the specific position being filled.
