Position: Injection Molding Automation Technician - For Pharr Texas -

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines; responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring that all shop safety rules and housekeeping standards are met.
  • Maintain equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance program.
  • Learn how to start automation, modify axis points, and make small programming changes on various types of automation, robots, PLCs, and other equipment.
  • Replace or repair mechanical and electrical components.
  • Understand secondary processes related to Automated Assembly and new technologies being developed.
  • Act as a troubleshooter when automation, secondary equipment, or inter-related problems develop during production and/or development runs.
  • Understand and troubleshoot complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and PLC-controlled machines using digital multimeter and machine documentation (mechanical drawings, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics).
  • Provide machine-process expertise in investigation, analysis, and preventive actions involving customer and internal expectations regarding quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Assist in training and development of technical associates in process excellence – including classroom training, on-the-job training, and mentoring.
  • Assist in production start-ups and changeovers related to automation equipment (e.g., leveling and squaring automation and robot heads, centering mechanical components, moving automation from one location to another).
  • Perform related work as required and special projects assigned by Manager.
  • Perform light facility repairs as assigned if required.
