Licensed Vocational Nurse – LVN/LPN

Schedule: 4-5 shifts (Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM)

Location/Setting: South Austin, 78744

Age Range: Adult Patient

Acuity: Feeding Tube & Med Administration

• Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days.
• Current CPR certification (with hands‑on component). Aveanna can assist in obtaining this after hire, if necessary.
• TB skin test current within last 12 months.
• Six months prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the care plan and physicians' orders for each patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries.

• Responsible for delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
• Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care promptly.
• Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan.
• Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
• Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent or reduce risk.
• Accepts personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient per OSHA standards.
• Educates patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, prevention strategies, and nursing needs.
• Maintains knowledge of competencies through educational programs, CEUs, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.

• South Carolina – One ('1') year of pediatrics experience.
• California – One ('1') year of experience required working under current nursing license.
• Louisiana – One ('1') year of experience required working as a licensed nurse.
• Continuing Education as required by state.
