Licensed Vocational Nurse – LVN/LPN
Schedule: 4-5 shifts (Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM)
Location/Setting: South Austin, 78744
Age Range: Adult Patient
Acuity: Feeding Tube & Med Administration

Qualifications- Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice.
- Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days.
- Current CPR certification (with hands‑on component). Aveanna can assist in obtaining this after hire, if necessary.
- TB skin test current within last 12 months.
- Six months prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Position OverviewThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the care plan and physicians' orders for each patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries.
Essential Job Functions- Responsible for delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care promptly.
- Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan.
- Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
- Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent or reduce risk.
- Accepts personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provides care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient per OSHA standards.
- Educates patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, prevention strategies, and nursing needs.
- Maintains knowledge of competencies through educational programs, CEUs, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
- South Carolina – One ('1') year of pediatrics experience.
- California – One ('1') year of experience required working under current nursing license.
- Louisiana – One ('1') year of experience required working as a licensed nurse.
