Building Operations (Full Time, Exempt)

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Fire Alarm Supervisor, the Service Technician is responsible for providing an intricate level of technical support and the highest level of customer service while servicing, inspecting and/or installing fire alarm systems and other products.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Completion of a two-year degree
  • Years of Relevant

    Work Experience:

    3 years of industry experience preferred
  • Certificates/Licenses:
    Driver’s License, NICET Level II Certification
  • Physical

    Job Requirements:

    Move throughout office, construction site, general outdoor environments, and use/climb a ladder
Key Activities
  • Customer relations. Maintain and develop relationships with new and current customers.
  • Service Activities. Receive service calls, contact customers, identify equipment problem. Program and test newly installed NFPA 72 compliant fire alarm systems, diagnose hardware problems, and replace defective equipment.
  • Inspections. Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems as outlined by the NFPA 72 code.
  • Training. Keep current on vendor equipment updates and enhancements.
  • Participate in development and implementation of Company best practices.
  • Participate in postmortem reviews of projects as requested.
