Power/mation has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Representative to serve our customers by providing accurate, responsive and knowledgeable service throughout the order lifecycle. This role blends customer service, inside sales support, and technical awareness in a fast-paced distribution environment.
This is a full‑time position working Monday‑Friday based out of our Pewaukee, Wisconsin office. This is primarily an onsite role to begin, with hybrid work flexibility available after successful training and six months of employment.
What You’ll Do- Partner closely with customers, inside sales and outside sales, and internal operations teams to ensure orders are processed correctly, issues are resolved efficiently, and customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Enter and manage customer orders accurately using Power/mation’s ERP system, including pricing validation, inventory checks, and order tracking.
- Maintain customer records, follow‑ups, and opportunity activity within CRM systems.
- Interpret customer requests related to quotations, applications, delivery timelines, pricing, returns, and service needs.
- Prepare accurate quotations using established pricing guidelines and system data.
- Recommend product alternatives or enhancements that align with customer applications and availability.
- Monitor open orders and coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams to support on‑time delivery, repairs, and credits.
- Resolve customer issues with a focus on clear communication, ownership, and timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities to support additional products or solutions based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with outside sales to share customer insights, leads, and order status updates.
- Maintain working knowledge of Power/mation product lines, vendor resources, and technical documentation.
- 3‑5+ years of customer service, inside sales, or technical sales experience.
- Previous experience in industrial automation or distribution is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in CRM systems for customer tracking and communication history.
- Intermediate ERP‑system experience (Epicor Profit 21 / P21 preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Professional, customer‑focused attitude with a problem‑solving mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism.

Salary: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour
