*** Pewaukee Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a
** part‑time Clinic Nurse (RN)
** to join our dedicated pediatric care team!
** Schedule**
* ** 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week)**
* ** Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM**###
** What You Will Do
** This role is primarily focused on
** triage (approximately 90%)**, with
** 10% direct patient care**.The RN practices within the
** Code of Ethics and Standards of Nursing Practice**, providing high‑quality, family‑centered pediatric care. Responsibilities include telephone and electronic triage, patient education, care coordination, and limited in‑clinic nursing visits.###
** Key Responsibilities
*** Perform pediatric
** telephone and electronic triage
** using standardized assessment tools, care protocols, and evidence‑based guidelines.
* Provide
** direct patient care during nurse visits
** as needed, including education and care coordination.
* Delegate patient care responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for quality of care.
* Notify providers promptly of any patient requiring immediate medical attention.
* Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs, develop and monitor care plans, and ensure optimal outcomes.
* Deliver
** health education
** to patients and families with a focus on self‑management and preventive care.
* Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record according to organizational standards.
* Adapt to changing assignments, workflows, and schedules as needed.
* Demonstrate age‑appropriate clinical knowledge and skills, including principles of growth and development across the pediatric life span.###
** Required Qualifications
**** Education
* ** Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
** Experience
* ** Minimum
** 2 years of RN experience
** in a primary care or urgent care setting (preferred)
* Pediatric nursing experience (preferred)
* Pediatric triage experience (preferred)###
** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
*** Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and analytical decision‑making skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, providers, and care teams.
* Ability to work effectively with a
** diverse patient population
** and support a culturally competent environment.
* Strong organizational and delegation skills to support efficient patient care.
* Ability to support other primary care locations as needed per Children’s Medical Group float policy.###
** Licensure & Certifications**
* ** RN License** – State of Wisconsin
* or* RN Compact License (Indiana or Arizona)
* ** BLS – Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers** (AHA, Red Cross, or National Safety Council)###
