At you will contribute to the success of the company by expediting and documenting the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments in a professional process that is efficient, accurate, and in compliance with all safety processes and hazardous material requirements.
Responsibilities- Assemble orders and prepare items for shipment
- Weigh or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Determine method of shipment; examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications
- Calculate the most cost‑efficient shipping
- Accurately record shipping and receiving data
- Receive and unpack materials and supplies
- Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record‑keeping purposes
- Complete shipping and receiving reports
- Provide inventory management support: part numbers, balances, reports, and physical inventory, cycle counts
- Route items to individuals or departments as appropriate
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Operate appropriate machinery which may include tier lift truck, hand truck, forklift, etc. to move, convey, or hoist shipments to and from shipping and receiving platforms; attend mandatory training on that equipment
- Assist with building and ground maintenance
- Maintain training on and practice of proper handling of hazardous materials

Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Some experience with shipping, receiving, purchasing, inventory a plus
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and other information
- Mathematical skills; ability to use a calculator
- Experience with MS Office, Excel, and ability to perform specific shipping/receiving exercises in relevant software
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds
