We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at our facility in Pewaukee, WI. As a Cost Estimating Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with manufacturing processes and products. You will utilize your expertise in CNC Milling and Lathe operations, CAD/CAM software, and blueprint reading to analyze and determine the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing methods.

Position Type:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive and review RFQs from customers
  • Collaborate with the product design team to provide cost estimates for new product development and fixture design
  • Estimate time and confirm material costs from the database and customer-supplied blueprints. Communicate effectively with customers and vendors
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Assist in negotiating business opportunities and closing deals
  • Other duties as needed
  • Qualifications:
    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
    • Manufacturing/Machining experience in CNC Milling, CNC Turning, and Swiss Machining
    • Ability to understand and read blueprints
    • Strong math skills
    • Proficient in computer skills
    • Industry experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Strong knowledge of GD&T and shop math skills
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
    • Proficiency in GD&T, CAD/CAM Software, Blueprint Reading, and Product Design
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment and process development
