Description
The Surgical Technology Instructor is primarily responsible for providing clinical instruction to students in the Surgical Technology Program.
Pay will vary by course being taught.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direct supervision of the Associate Dean, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies, and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences.
Requires strong organizational skills, good communication skills, an ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction and include technology in the teaching of classes, and familiarity with all aspects of the Surgical Technology field. Must be accessible to students and maintain positive relationships with industry-related organizations and businesses. The successful applicant will be responsible for completing requirements to obtain and maintain a current teaching certification from the Wisconsin Technical College System Board.
Final candidates interviewed will be required to provide a teaching demonstration.
Previous teaching experience is desirable.

WTCS Certification:
The successful applicant will be responsible for completing requirements to obtain and maintain a current teaching certification from the Wisconsin Technical College System Board.
This position is Part Time (under 20 hrs./week) and teaches only when school is in session;
Hours and times may vary depending on when courses are being taught.
Note:
This position may require presence at a clinical site. Current clinical site requires that all persons are fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be required.
