• Position: Travel Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – CVU / Progressive Care Unit (Telemetry Nurse)
• Location: Petoskey, MI 49770 (On-site) — Petoskey nursing jobs / Michigan travel nurse jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel contract
• Contract Length: 8 weeks (March 30, 2026 – May 25, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours/week
• Openings: 2 positions available
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Possible
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 – $2,270

• Minimum 1 year recent Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit RN experience (required)
• Proficiency in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and EKG/ECG interpretation (required)
• Willingness to work as a travel nurse (required)
• Willingness to float to comparable units (required)
• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Completion of RN specialty skills checklist within the last year (required)
• Adherence to a strict attendance/tardiness policy

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to cardiac and progressive care patients, including post-PTCA, stents, TAVR, Mitra Clip, bi-ventricular pacemakers, and post–open heart surgery patients.
• Act as an experienced telemetry nurse: continuously monitor and interpret telemetry/EKG rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary CVU team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, perform comprehensive assessments, and document care accurately in the EMR.
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac conditions, procedures, discharge planning, and recovery expectations.
• Participate in national clinical trials and research initiatives as part of the Cardiovascular Unit when applicable.
• Float to comparable units as needed to support patient care and staffing requirements.
