McLaren Northern enforces a strict 3-strike attendance policy effective 6/1/2024. Any RN contractor who is absent or more than 20 minutes late for a scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. Exceptions (e.g., communicable illness or hospitalization) will be reviewed with supporting documentation. Cardiovascular RN – CVU:
The Cardiovascular RN is a key member of the CVU, providing expert care to over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including PTCA, stents, TAVR, Mitra Clip, and biventricular pacemakers. The unit also manages open-heart post-op patients (18–24 hrs), CHF, and electrophysiology studies, and supports national clinical trials through NISUS. The CVU is a Silver Beacon Award unit, AACN-redesigned, and part of McLaren Northern Michigan—Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S
