This position is eligible for a 15k sign on bonus.

• Administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Maintains EMR and other documentation related to treatment simulation and delivery.
• Assists in simulation procedures, as ordered by the radiation oncologist, for the purpose of treatment planning.
• With supervision, fabricates treatment immobilization devices and treatment aids, as ordered by the radiation oncologist, for the purpose of treatment planning.
• Participates in imaging and alignment procedures for radiation treatment delivery, as directed by the radiation oncologist.
• Schedules simulation and treatment appointments; facilitates communication of scheduling with patient and staff.
• Captures and verifies/corrects all charges for services rendered.
• Participates in and documents patient education.
• Follows radiation safety protection guidance and ALARA principles for patients and personnel.
• Utilizes incident reporting and learning system for reporting near misses, variances, and unsafe conditions.
• Performs machine, equipment, and treatment plan quality assurance.
• Participates in department quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs for radiation therapists.
• Follows department and organization policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy or in final clinical rotation of accredited radiation therapy program.
• Eligible for board certification in radiation therapy from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; obtains board certification within one year of employment as a radiation therapist.
• BLS certification as healthcare provider or obtains within 6 months of employment as a radiation therapist.

• Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy.
• Active member of the American Society of Radiation Therapists (ASRT).
