Reports To: School Principal/Athletic Director

• To develop student athletes to their maximum potential, athletically and academically.
• To demonstrate high ideals, good habits and attitudes and demand the same of the players.
• To cooperate with the principal and athletic director in the planning, scheduling and the general conduct of activities assigned.
• To properly supervise assistant coaches by outlining team goals, strategies, objectives and tasks to be performed.
• Submit annually a budget to the athletic director prior to the conclusion of the school year.
• To inventory annually all equipment, supplies and materials and submit shortages and needs to the athletic director prior to the conclusion of the school year.
• To communicate concerns or problems to the principal on any matters not specifically covered by this job description.
• To properly supervise student athletes under his/her immediate supervision and ensure preventative measures are taken to prevent injuries, and swift and immediate care is given in case of injuries.
• To keep abreast of all NCAA rules/regulations relative to visitations, recruitment and grades of student athletics.
• To perform other duties/responsibilities deemed necessary.

• Demonstrates skills through personal participation or prior coaching experience in the sport assigned.
• Skillful working with students and staff in an athletic environment.
• Such other qualifications as deemed appropriate and acceptable by the School Board.
