Compensation: $42.94/hour

• Install, perform preventative maintenance, and repair a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment
• Add and remove refrigerant fluids, start system, observe operation, read gauges and instruments, and adjust mechanisms to control fluid level, pressure, and temperature
• Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on appliances
• Calibrate equipment when necessary
• Utilize hand tools, test equipment, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s specification manuals to perform duties and examine appliances during operating cycle to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks and loose parts
• Trace electrical circuits to locate shorts and grounds and adjust contact points and clean parts
• Replace worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers and defective wiring, reassemble appliance, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts
• Prepare and maintain related reports, records, and requisitions as required
• Assist in the inventory of equipment, tools, and parts
• Adhere to all safety standards and maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor

• Can communicate courteously and helpfully with others
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend applicable written and/or oral instructions
• Must be able to multi-task throughout the workday with constant interruptions

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time
• Standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required
• Must work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time

• Journeyman or Master level HVACR required; 5 years related experience and/or training in maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment, including refrigeration equipment
• Valid State Driver’s license required with ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance company
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position
