This position is responsible for general warehouse operations such as organizing/cleaning the workspace, refilling stock, general safety and learning the technical items of the trade.#
*
* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings
* Test and repair fire extinguishers already in place, Maintaining extinguishers and system cylinders in various locations in shop.
* Perform inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are installed according to code
* Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues
* Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner
* Protect and maintain company equipment. General warehouse operations.
* Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.
* Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s safety instructions for that equipment.
* Receiving freight, operating a forklift, and stocking the warehouse
* Perform all inventory counts and maintain inventory stock levels.
* Check in orders and stock all inventory items. Maintain adequate shipping supplies.
* Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations either electronically or manually.
* Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
* Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job.
* Perform other duties assigned by management.
** Education/

Qualification:

*** High School Diploma or GED preferred.
* Any vocational training is strongly desired.
* Industry experience preferred.
* Troubleshooting skills.
* Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
* Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work.
* Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
* Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
* Requires the ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery.
** Other Duties:

* Physical Requirements:

*** Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring.
* Frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc.
* Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead.
