Registered Nurse; RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - Southside Medical Center - PRN

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and determine the priority of problems and needs.
• Implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care.
• Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, create plans of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate, evidence-based, patient-focused action using clinical judgement.
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with confidence.
• Participate in on-call system for emergencies and urgent procedures on weekends, nights, and holidays; must be able to respond to STEMI call backs in less than 30 minutes.
• Administer medications safely in line with practice standards and organizational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required).

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire).

• One year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR (required).
