Overview
The role is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations while working closely with associates and the supervisor to support and achieve corporate and departmental goals. The position promotes safe behavior through practices such as Lock-out/Tag-out, safety meetings, GMPs, and food safety procedures. It ensures all employees are properly trained and that the daily operational plan is followed, with any deviations addressed using appropriate resources and documented accordingly.
In collaboration with or in the absence of the supervisor, the role involves communicating key information to employees, including during shift huddle meetings, and assisting with administrative duties. The individual sets expectations, directs the workforce, prioritizes tasks, and is prepared to fill in operational roles as needed.
- Lead daily maintenance operations by directing workforce, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring adherence to operational plans and safety practices (Lock-out/Tag-out, GMPs, food safety).
- Provide leadership and communication, including training employees, conducting shift huddles, assisting with administrative duties, and addressing operational issues to optimize cost and process flow.
- Perform technical and repair tasks, such as mechanical diagnostics, electrical repairs, part replacements, and compliance checks, while maintaining cleanliness and initiating purchase orders as needed.
- 6+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Experience in food manufacturing facility/plant or high speed manufacturing facility/environment
At least 2-3 years of lead/supervisor/leadership experience- Ability to set up equipment and operate that equipment
- Diagnose industrial mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, preventative/general corrective maintenance, conveyors, gears, and electrical knowledge
$30/hr - $38/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
