After 44 weeks of training, District Managers take on the multi-million dollar responsibility of overseeing the operations of up to six stores. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll collaborate closely with store management to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve operational excellence and drive impressive sales growth.

- Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (MAP) as outlined for the role.
- Assess, establish, and implement appropriate store staffing levels with input from direct reports.
- Work with direct reports to develop and implement action plans that will improve operating results.
- Ensure adherence to company merchandising plans.
- Plan and conduct regularly scheduled meetings with direct reports.
- Assure the training, development, and performance of their team’s staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce that achieves their career objectives.
- Recruit and recommend qualified employees for their team’s staff positions.
- Approve all time-off requests for direct reports.
- Establish and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their team to assure mutual understanding of desired results; resolve barriers to goal achievement.
- Understand and model the company strategy and core values to foster teamwork.
- Review and analyze the district’s competitive pricing and keep leadership informed of ALDI’s pricing position.
- Provide product feedback to leadership, including recommendations regarding new items to carry or those to discontinue.
- Coordinate with direct reports in recruiting and interviewing applicants.
- Discuss the advancement of store personnel and handling of discharge or discipline with direct reports.
- Support direct reports in conducting store meetings.
- Consult with leadership on the development of the team’s strategy.
- Advise leadership to source external vendors for applicable services when appropriate.
- Liaise with regions to ensure timely and efficient communication flow.
- Consult with the business to design and streamline applicable processes within the organization.
- Stay up-to-date on external best practices and changes; communicate updates to leadership.
- Ensure store personnel comply with the company’s customer satisfaction guidelines.
- Oversee and manage the resolution of operational customer concerns by store management.
- Ensure store management monitors store conditions, equipment, and employee performance to maintain a safe environment.
- Oversee compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations within the district.
- Oversee payroll budgets and total loss results, ensuring outcomes align with district budgets.
- Review and analyze adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies to minimize losses.
- Conduct store inventory counts and cash audits according to guidelines.
- Drive projects and tasks to completion through effective prioritization and cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential process improvements.
- Serve as the primary link between the team’s staff and leadership to clarify goals and opportunities for improvement.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
