PositionDurable Medical Equipment Specialist - Southside Regional Medical Center
Responsibilities- Daily responsibilities include:
Cleans and disinfects all home medical equipment. Adheres to the safety/infection control policies and procedures of the organization. Tests equipment, completes repairs, and maintains records on all equipment as required by the manufacturer. - Completes all paperwork required by the organization and regulatory bodies including but not limited to JC, Bedding License, FDA, OSHA, and ODOT. Performs warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, stocking, inventory counts, and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with stated core values of CHP. Protects confidentiality of information. Is responsible for performing all other duties as assigned.
- Secondary Responsibilities:
Performed when patient demand is high or when staffing shortages demand it. Assists the Customer Service Technicians with deliveries, pick ups and exchanges of medical equipment in the home. Provides patient and/or caregiver equipment instruction in the home. Includes: home environment assessment, assessing that the equipment is appropriate for the patient, and the patient is safely capable of using as directed.
After hours and weekend on-call rotation. - Performs all duties with or without accommodations listed in the Physical Demands section of this job description.
