We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join one of our well-established food manufacturing clients in the County Durham area. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and improving production equipment to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and food safety compliance.
Shifts:
06:00 till 14:00 or 07:00 till 15:00
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery
* Fault finding and repair of electrical and mechanical systems
* Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
* Minimise downtime and respond quickly to breakdowns
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with food safety, health & safety, and site standards
Skills
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a food/FMCG or manufacturing environment
* Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / equivalent)
* Knowledge of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, and hydraulics
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
