Lifeways Complex Care and Autism Division are recruiting permanent members of staff for Unity House in Peterlee, County Durham. Unity House is a 21‑bed residential home that provides accommodation for adults aged 18 and over with intellectual disabilities, often accompanied by mental health and/or physical impairments. The service supports adults who may experience behavioural distress and aims to provide the highest quality of life possible.

• Provide compassionate support to residents, including personal care tasks and promoting their independence.
• Assist residents experiencing behavioural distress with understanding and empathy.
• Work within a person‑centred approach, matching support skills with the needs of each resident.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality care and shared problem‑solving.

• Passionate about supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and related conditions.
• Demonstrates drive and a commitment to promoting independence.
• Values teamwork and possesses initiative to solve problems.
