Behaviour Support Worker

We are seeking Behaviour Support Workers to work in an alternative education setting in Peterlee. The role focuses on supporting pupils who require additional behaviour and emotional support to engage positively with education.

• Support pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Implement positive behaviour support strategies.
• Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff.
• Support pupils during lessons and unstructured times.
• Promote positive routines and engagement.

• Experience in behaviour support, care or youth work.
• Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
• Calm, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
