Hours of Work: 40 hours, Monday - Friday
The successful applicant will report to the Team Leader and will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of materials management functions. This role focuses on supporting receiving operations, material handling and storage, inventory management, and various general warehouse duties, all contributing to the accuracy of inventory, safety, and overall warehouse efficiency.
- Support the Warehouse Team Leader in receiving incoming shipments.
- Assist in verifying received materials against delivery paperwork and reporting any discrepancies.
- Help investigate and resolve issues related to received materials.
- Assist in moving materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Support the proper storage and organisation of materials in compliance with procedures.
- Ensure materials are correctly labelled, identified, and stored to prevent damage or loss.
- Assist in conducting regular stock checks and inventory audits as directed.
- Help maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Support the Warehouse Team Leader in updating the materials system with relevant information.
- Aid in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse and storage areas.
- Assist in maintaining housekeeping standards and adhering to safety protocols.
- Operational experience in warehouse or materials management environment.
- Knowledge of UK Oil and Gas Guidelines, with demonstrated expertise in implementing and adhering to these standards.
- Strong focus on health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ), consistently exemplifying exceptional personal HSEQ standards.
- Excellent customer relations skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels.
- Strong organisational skills, capable of planning and prioritising tasks while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
- Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Client Systems such as SAP/Maximo.
- Experienced in working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and priorities without compromising on quality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self‑sufficient and capable of working independently while being a positive contributor to team success.
- Highly motivated to achieve the highest performance standards and customer satisfaction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
