Band 5 community nurse post

33 hours per week with possible 24‑hour cover. Shift pattern:
Sunday – Monday 19:00 – 07:00. Applications are invited for the post based in Peterhead.

This post offers a chance to be part of the Out‑of‑Hours (OOH) community nursing service covering Aberdeenshire and Moray.

• Provide autonomous community nursing care during OOH shifts.
• Visit patients independently without direct supervision while remaining supported by the wider OOH team.
• Deliver evidence‑based care in line with the NMC code of Professional Conduct and local policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure high‑standard care for patients, relatives, and carers.

• Registered with the NMC as a Band 5 community nurse.
• Commitment to evidence‑based patient, relative, and carer care.
• Experience in community nursing or willingness to work within an OOH environment.

As of 1/4/26 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata but correspondingly increased hourly rates will ensure no loss of pay.
