HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV / C+E Class 1 Chilled / Frozen Drivers

Working for a large independent haulier in the Peterborough area, you will be making deliveries of Frozen / Chilled foods to Supermarket RDC's and NDC's.

The client has a fully fitted fleet of vehicles and is looking for drivers to start on a 60 shift Temp 2 Perm (12 weeks). You will start on a Monday between (Apply online only) and should expect 3 nights away, typically 4 returning late Friday or when legally allowed to do so on a Saturday.

The unit is fully equipped with all modern features a night‑out driver would want; it is immaculate and you will retain the same unit, no hot seating, a home from home.

You will make deliveries and collections across the country. The basic salary is £40K for a Monday to Friday schedule with Saturdays paid as overtime.

During the 60‑shift work‑out period MKD Recruit Ltd pays:

• Monday to Friday: £18.08 per hour
• Saturdays: £22.16 per hour
• Night Out: £25.00 (Tax Free Expense)

Drivers need a minimum of 6 months UK driving experience in an HGV.

• Full UK Driving Licence with 6 months experience
  
  Maximum 6 penalty points
• Drivers CPC Card
• Drivers Digi Card
• Prepared for Night Out
• Able to unload pallets and cages at Lidl and other distribution centres
