Social Worker, MASH Team - Barnwell St Andrew - Sanctuary Personal

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the MASH Team to work Full Time based in Guernsey.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £69,427per annum.

• Actively participate in multi-agency information sharing, risk assessments and decision-making discussions within the MASH.
• Respond to child protections concerns and undertake single and joint Child Protection Investigations when required.
• Undertake screening and duty tasks.
• Undertake tasks requested by the MASH Practice Manager.
• Assess the needs of children and families using theoretical frameworks in order to produce appropriate recommendations for further intervention if required. These will be within agreed timescales according to need.
• Undertake short-term or longer-term specific pieces of work as directed.
• Respond to child protection concerns via the implementation and monitoring of robust child protection plans and undertake any assessment or investigation as required by the Team Manager on any allocated cases.
• Ensure that child protection and child in need procedures are adhered to and provide monthly governance information on statutory visits.
• Prepare assessments, statements and care plans for court and required give evidence in court.
• Work in partnership with parents, colleagues and other agencies ensuring the child is central to any process.
• Ensure Health & Social Services policies, procedures and legislation are adhered to.
• Actively participate in a duty rota system for cases held within the teams.
• Participate in the out of hours social work rota.
• To undertake any other duties as may be determined by the Associate Director, Children & Family Community Services, from time to time.

• A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of relevant legislation.
• Registered or eligible for registration.
