Location: Sand Martin House, Peterborough, PE2 8TY

Working Pattern: 3 days per week in the office
Pay Rate: 40- 42 per hour (Umbrella)

Peterborough City Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Social Work Academy. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work with newly qualified and early career social workers in a supportive, development-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coaching, mentoring, and developing social work professionals to ensure they deliver high-quality, impactful services to children and families.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to newly qualified and early career social workers
• Foster professional development and confidence through reflective practice and guidance
• Promote high-quality social work practice within the Social Work Academy
• Lead by example, modelling best practice and encouraging continuous learning
• Help build a strong, confident, and capable social work workforce in Peterborough

We are looking for a qualified and experienced social worker with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others. You should have a solid track record in social work, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire confidence in others as they embark on their social work careers.

Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving license and access to own vehicle
