M&E Engineer

Overview

Are you a skilled AC-bias Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer in or around the Peterborough area, looking for an exciting opportunity in the facilities management sector? We are seeking a dedicated professional to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio, ensuring top-quality service delivery and first-line response to emergencies.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems across a defined portfolio.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Provide technical support and expertise across multiple sites.
• Liaise with customers to deliver outstanding service.
• Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain service quality and response times.
• Travel between client sites as required
• On-call duty required (1 in 4 weeks)

• Essential: F-Gas
• Desirable: 18th Edition, Test & Inspection, Unvented
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a similar role (retail or commercial experience preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• IT proficiency and ability to manage workload effectively

• Salary: £35,834 or £41,210 (depending on experience)
• Full door-to-door pay
• Up to 4% bonus
• All overtime paid at time-and-a-half
• Company van (with option for personal use from day
  1)

• This is a field-based role, requiring travel between client sites
• On-call duty required (1 in 4 weeks)
