About the Role

Our client is a well-established Fire & Security Specialist based in Peterborough, providing tailored protection services across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, retail, leisure and public sector sectors. They require engineers to deliver high-quality installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire and security systems to their clients across the East of England.

What You’ll Do

As a Fire & Security Alarm Engineer, you will:

Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems (conventional & addressable)
Work with intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and related security systems
Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs and scheduled servicing visits
Produce high-quality reports, certification and documentation for clients
Ensure compliance with current industry standards and legislation
Provide excellent customer service on site
You’ll work across a range of sectors — from commercial and industrial to education and retail — adapting solutions to each customer’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in fire and/or security systems engineering
Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, security systems, CCTV and access control

Experience with industry standards (e.g., BS5839 or relevant security standards)
Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable:

FIA or equivalent industry qualifications
Manufacturer-specific fire or security system training
ECS/CSCS or related credentials
