About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a permanent basis, delivering mechanical installation, maintenance and refurbishment work across Thames Water industrial sites. This is an excellent long‑term opportunity to work on essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a stable, growing framework.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical installation, maintenance and overhaul on pumps, valves, pipework, motors and rotating machinery
Work on clean water and wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations, and associated industrial assets
Interpret and work from technical drawings, P&IDs and specifications
Complete planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
Ensure compliance with Thames Water site procedures, RAMS and safety standards
Collaborate with project teams, engineers and subcontractors to deliver works safely and efficiently
Complete all required documentation to a high standard

Requirements

CSCS card - Essential
Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter on industrial projects (water industry experience highly desirable)
Strong understanding of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, mechanical assemblies and pipework systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple live sites
Full UK driving licence
Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance
