Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a consultant or Senior Ecologist. The role involves conducting ecological surveys, preparing ecological reports and assessments, providing expert advice to clients, and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation. Additional responsibilities may include managing projects, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and developing strategic ecological solutions within various projects.
Requirements- Degree in ecology or closely related subject, or evidence of experience sufficient to support the advertised role.
- 5 years’ experience in ecology, including the ability to lead UKHABS and European protected species surveys and competent report writing.
- Associate member of CIEEM or experience to obtain this
- Good knowledge of related environmental legislation and policy
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability and experience to communicate and build client relationships
- FISC 3 or above certification
- Specialism in an area such as botany, bats, ornithology or other protected species/groups
- Experience with BNG surveying and reporting
- Consultant Ecologist salary (£30,000 - £36,000 experience dependant)
- Senior Ecologist Salary (£36,000 - £44,000 experience dependant)
