Deputy Manager - Jollyes Pets - Peterborough.
Salary £26,000 - £27,000 p.a. + bonus potential of £1-5k p.a. (subject to reaching pre‑agreed measures).

Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including team management, stock management and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Take full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store in the Manager’s absence – people, financial performance, standards and customer service.
  • Lead by example, creating a positive culture and working environment, demonstrating the values of Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused and Together.
  • Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service, a great shopping experience and strong product knowledge (training given).
  • Deliver the highest standards of pet care, keeping the welfare of pets a top priority and promoting responsible pet ownership.
  • Be available to work out of hours or provide cover in other stores as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Passion for pets and people; delight customers by ensuring an unrivaled shopping experience.
  • Previous retail management experience, having deputised for a Store Manager and taken a hands‑on approach to daily business management.
  • A team‑player who communicates effectively, builds high‑performing and highly engaged teams, and demonstrates a proven track record in developing performance and exceeding KPIs.
  • Commercial awareness with a proactive approach, strong planning and organisation skills, and knowledge of health & safety and legal compliance.
  • Own transport with a UK driving licence and willingness to work out of hours or provide temporary cover elsewhere.
  • Full‑time permanent, 40 hours per week, working five days out of seven.
