We seek a skilled Assistant Store Manager to lead teams, drive sales and help us achieve our strategic goals.
Role overviewAs an Assistant Store Manager you will support the Store Manager to keep store operations running smoothly, meet or exceed sales and KPI targets, and deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities- Support the Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring sales and KPI targets are met.
- Set sales goals, track performance and continuously improve processes for growth.
- Create a positive team culture through recruitment, training and staff development.
- Analyze sales data and financial reports to make informed commercial decisions.
- Serve as point of contact for colleagues in the Manager’s absence.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling and till reconciliation.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding and training of new staff.
- Give feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Assist in maintaining colleague schedules for optimal coverage.
- Achieve or exceed the store’s monthly sales target.
- Drive additional KPIs (Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT).
- Meet upselling and cross‑selling targets.
- Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
- Ensure stock accuracy during audits.
- Complete mandatory training for all new colleagues.
- Meet or exceed employee satisfaction benchmark.
- Keep operational costs within budget.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in fast‑paced retail or customer‑facing roles.
- Strong communication skills and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience analysing KPI data to inform commercial decisions.
- Detail‑oriented with commercial mindset.
- Coaching and developing staff.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising is an advantage.
