Overview
Sous Chef required for this Village Pub on the outskirts of Peterborough serving rosette standard dishes created from fresh seasonal ingredients. Regularly serving 30 – 40 midweek and up to 60 at the weekends. The kitchen is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so set days off are guaranteed.
The Head Chef is looking for a Sous Chef to help run the kitchen on a daily basis. It’s a 2 person team, so we are looking for somebody who is hands on and enjoys cooking. The Head Chef is happy to train up a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous looking for their first Sous Chef position.
Applicants will ideally need to live in the Peterborough, Werrington, Newborough, Market Deeping, Tallington, Baston or Stamford area with their own transport.
Responsibilities- Help run the kitchen on a daily basis as part of a two-person team
- Maintain hands-on cooking with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Support training for a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous looking to progress to Sous Chef
- Ideally based in the Peterborough area with own transport
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Prior experience at sous or senior chef de partie level preferred
- Base Salary of £32,000 - £35,000 (Depending on Experience)
