Materials Planner

This temporary Materials Planner position based in Peterborough in the industrial/manufacturing industry requires excellent organisational skills to manage procurement and supply chain processes effectively. This opportunity is with a well-established organisation within the industrial/manufacturing industry who are based in Peterborough! Main tasks of this Materials Planner role will include the validation of plans with Suppliers, maintaining rolling shipment plan and supporting with the inbound PO management.

Description

As Materials Planner, duties will include, however, not be limited to:

Coordinate and manage material planning activities to meet production requirements.
Use PFEP in planning, designing, and management of systems and processes & apply PFEP principles on the end to end supply chain.
Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule, which meets customer's expectations and requirements while maximizing operational efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and implement adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with suppliers to maintain efficient and cost-effective supply chains.
Analyse supply chain data and provide actionable insights to improve processes.
Resolve material shortages and delivery issues promptly to maintain production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of materials and inventory using relevant systems.

Profile

A successful Materials Planner should have:

Experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials planning within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
Proficiency in using inventory management systems and software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.

Job Offer

Hourly rate up to £15.00 per hour.
