HSW Senior Manager

Our client is the utilities provider in the South‑East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long‑term value for all.

You will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects.

Providing strong HSW leadership, offering expert advice and assurance to senior leaders. Champions health, safety, and wellbeing while driving alignment with business strategy and objectives.

• Supporting the implementation of health safety and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards.
• Carrying out audits and inspections on behalf of the business and assists with the resolution of non‑conformities raised in third‑party audits.
• Participating in the development of new standards and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Analysing results of audits, corrective actions and key performance indicators (KPI’s), identify gaps for continuous improvement.
• Ensuring Incident Investigations are completed on time and lessons are shared.
• Managing and providing leadership to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.

• Professional qualification or equivalent.
• Expertise in HSW legislation, assurance, and risk management.
• Experience improving systems and certification processes.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
