Engineering Director

We are proud to be exclusively partnered with a leading global communications business in the search for their next Engineering Director, or a Senior Engineering Manager, looking to make the next step in their career. This senior role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership and is a key position within the executive team, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

You will oversee a team of 60 across four core departments:
Product Development, Customer Solutions, Engineering Services, and Product Management. While strong leadership and people management skills are essential, technical credibility is paramount. The successful candidate must be able to engage confidently with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience leading teams within complex electronics, RF and embedded software
Chartered Engineer and a degree in a relevant technical discipline
Technical experience in communications systems is advantageous but not essential
Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and departments
Skilled in customer engagement and comfortable in a high-visibility leadership role
