Material Planning - First Fit Expeditor (UK)
Location:
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
We are seeking 2 Material Planning Expeditors for the Peterborough site. This is a full‑time, 6‑month assignment with the possibility of extension.
Training will take place onsite for approximately 3 weeks, 5 days per week. Thereafter the role will become hybrid, with 3 days onsite each week.
Working hours:
Monday‑Friday, flexible office hours.
PAYE: £15.38 per hour
Responsibilities- Validate shipment plans with suppliers.
- Maintain a 5‑day rolling shipment plan.
- Support inbound PO management.
- Track shipments to different sites.
- Participate in daily and weekly review meetings.
- Previous planning experience not required, but a supply chain or logistics background is preferred.
- Highly organized, customer‑focused, and detail‑oriented.
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
- High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience.
- Materials Planning System Utilization – Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking long‑term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root‑cause analysis; occasionally refers to ad‑hoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in problem solving.
- Part Change Control Management – Evaluates and implements engineering change requests (obsolescence, supersessions, new part release, etc.) to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP) – Uses PFEP in planning, designing, and managing systems and processes within a facility to ensure delivery of the right part at the right time and place.
- Master Supply Scheduling – Establishes and maintains a valid Master Production Schedule for a family of products, aligning procurement, production, and replenishment planning with manufacturing assets.
- Materials KPI Management – Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs versus expectations, assesses gaps, interprets KPIs, and strategically balances trade‑offs to influence performance.
- Communicates effectively – Develops and delivers multi‑mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Customer focus – Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer‑centric solutions.
- Drives results – Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances.
- Manages complexity – Makes sense of complex, high‑quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
