Role Overview
We are seeking individuals with lived experience of mental health, learning disability and/or autism, and a history in inpatient settings or as a carer/advocate. This role is not suitable for anyone currently receiving inpatient care. The Expert by Experience will join Care, Education and Treatment Review (C E TR) panels to review the care, education and treatment of patients in hospital settings.
Responsibilities- Be involved as an expert on the C E TR team and follow rules before, during and after the review.
- Attend induction training and any other specific training/workshops identified.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Lead Provider Collaborative.
- Take responsibility for personal safety, wellbeing and that of others in both clinical and non‑clinical settings.
- Support the C E TR team to assess if the service user is safe, receiving good care and treatment, has future plans, and requires hospital care.
- Provide input to consultations, events and give feedback when requested.
- Assist in developing quality and evaluation tools.
You will not have employee status. No sponsorship is offered for this role.
