• Provide high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations (general, obstetric & gynaecological) to patients.
• Work independently and assist in organising the clinical workload across all sites.
• Participate in regular ultrasound meetings, audit and continuous professional development (CPD).
• Maintain effective communication with clinical and non‑clinical staff and patients at all levels.
• Review and contribute to continual improvement of services and departmental efficiency.
• Use CRIS and PACS systems accurately and safely.

• DCR or Radiography Degree
• HCPC or other relevant professional qualification
• Up-to-date FASP accreditation
• DMU or CASE Accredited PgC/PgD in Ultrasound
• CPD portfolio

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Clear communication of information to clinicians and other health professionals
• Independent decision‑making and problem solving

• Knowledge of local NHS targets and initiatives
• Awareness of current NHS changes at NWAFT
• Keyboard proficiency

• Experience in obstetrics, gynaecological and general abdominal ultrasound
• Reporting own workload independently
• Minimum two years NHS experience
