Financial Reporting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our client on a 6-9 month interim contract. This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who can take immediate ownership of our financial reporting processes, statutory accounts, and year-end deliverables.

You will play a critical role in strengthening our financial control environment, overseeing monthly reporting, and driving process improvements. There is no team management in this position — it's ideal for someone who enjoys being in the detail and delivering high-quality outputs independently.

Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards. Manage the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors. Oversee monthly management accounts , ensuring accuracy, timely reporting, and strong financial controls. Review and enhance existing financial processes , recommending and implementing improvements where required. Ensure compliance with internal policies, technical accounting requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Provide insightful financial analysis to support senior stakeholders during the contract period. Support ad-hoc financial projects as needed. About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven experience preparing statutory accounts. Previous exposure to managing or supporting an audit cycle. A proactive, detail-oriented self-starter who can work autonomously. Demonstrable experience improving finance processes and controls.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and delivering to tight deadlines.
