Management Accountant

Management Accountant (Maternity Cover) ? Rotherham £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract A well-established organisation based in Rotherham is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to step into a varied role within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the business with accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to aid decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis. Producing budgets and forecasts, including cash flow forecasting. Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of the general ledger. Supporting month-end and year-end processes. Monitoring and analysing financial performance against budget. Assisting with audit preparation and liaising with external auditors. Preparing and submitting VAT returns. Identifying and implementing process improvements. Providing financial insight and support to non-finance stakeholders.

About You Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Proven experience in a management accounting role Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Able to work independently and meet deadlines What’s on Offer Competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000 Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a reputable organisation Supportive working environment Immediate start available ?
