Management Accountant

Management Accountant | South Manchester | £50,000 An exciting opportunity to join a private equity backed business in South Manchester at a time when they are gearing up for a pivotal even in their growth cycle. This is a newly created role due to an internal promotion and offers an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant to gain more hands on experience in a very supportive and fast paced environment.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will have a broad list of duties including;
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis Partner with operational and departmental leaders to provide financial insight and support decision-making Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling financial projections Analyse business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability Maintain and improve financial models, KPIs, and reporting packs for senior leadership Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Review cost centres, margins, and overheads, challenging spend and driving efficiency initiatives Assist with statutory accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors as required Contribute to process improvements, systems enhancements, and automation of reporting Ensure strong financial governance, compliance, and adherence to company policies and procedures Candidate profile;
This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified accountant, you could be industry trained (CIMA/ACCA) or perhaps coming from a mid-upper tier practice (ACA/ACCA) and looking for a step like this.
