They are currently seeking a Principal Structural Engineer who embraces technical challenges with the ability to see beyond these and be a positive force in the office and wider business.

You will be an individual who sees the value and potential in people and who is prepared to nurture those around you to bring out their very best. Our client has built a strong team in Leeds and their success is down to the people theyve engaged and developed. They`ve grown sustainably and continue to deliver some of the smallest ( £1bn) schemes in the region for new and existing clients in a variety of sectors such as Healthcare, Residential, Leisure, Commercial mixed use, Schools and Higher Education.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of up to 8 people and lead that team in the delivery of a portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for people management (colleagues and clients where appropriate), financial management, quality and project management within your team. Additionally contribute towards developing and delivering their business strategies in the Leeds office, and where appropriate the wider business, driving innovation and best practice.

Involvement in business development will be part of your remit alongside Directors in the business. You will ideally have experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary design projects, including developing design delivery programmes with an understanding of and involvement in project finances. A competent leader who thrives in client meetings, contributing effectively and working collaboratively with their clients, partners and the wider project team to develop viable, sustainable and cost-effective design solutions.

Working within a highly respected team on a wide range of high-profile, technically demanding and award-winning building and urban regeneration projects in Leeds and Yorkshire. Currently their live commissions include the £1bn Tetley Brewery redevelopment, the hugely successful Wellington Place masterplan for MEPC and the development of Dyecoats on Kirkstall Road for Clarion Housing, as well as many other high-profile mixed-use city centre developments.

They also work for a number of local healthcare Trusts, including the £1bn Securing the Future Programme at Airedale Hospital near Skipton. Youll be a Chartered Engineer with experience of leading a team of engineers and technicians in the delivery of a wide range of projects and have the ability to inspire a team to develop to their full potential.

Our client rewards extremely well and offers a range of signature projects and career progression alongside a very healthy salary and benefits package which includes a handsome bonus and very generous pension contribution.
