Lasting two years, the GTS graduate development scheme gives you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge as you take responsibility for delivering diverse and strategically important business projects to the right quality, on time and to budget. Rotations during the scheme can vary in length but typically last 6
-12 months majoring on Manufacturing Engineering & Technology disciplines from the following:

• Manufacturing planning for introducing new products and processes.
• Continuous improvement opportunities on existing or planned production facilities.
• Delivering diverse manufacturing solutions in any of our global locations.
• Designing and implementing lean machining, engine assembly, engine test, final paint solutions.
• Manufacturing systems and PLC software development for shop floor applications.
• Quality engineering and Quality management systems
• Logistics engineering component delivery solutions
• Operations management.
• Make vs buy/ value-added manufacturing business appraisals.
• Advanced technology applications development for manufacturing.

Based within GTS your rotations may include close collaboration with other significant business areas such as:
Operations and Quality, Design, Product Development, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, Purchasing, Suppliers and Customers enabling you to understand the interactions and how a company the size of Caterpillar operates on a global scale.
